Special Kopiah / Songkok / Peci / Cap

 This pattern is lovely on kopiah or some called it songkok or peci or cap. It is easy to crochet and you can make it in just a few hours.

Kopiah 

1) make a magic ring, chain 2, 12 double crochet (dc) in magic ring and seal it with a slip stitch (sl st).

2) chain (ch) 2, 2 dc in each, sl st (total 24 stitches)

3) ch 2, (2dc, dc) repeat till the end, sl st (total 36 stitches)

4) ch 2, (2dc, dc in next 2) repaet till the end, sl st (total 48 stitches)

5) ch 2, (2dc, dc in next 3) repeat till the end, sl st (total 60 stitches)

6) ch 2, (2dc dc in next 4) repeat till the end, sl st (total 72 stitces)

Repeat in the same manner until you get the size you want. 


The pattern.

1) ch 2, dc all around for 2 rows

2) sc all around for 1 row

3) ch 2, dc all around for 1 row

4) tripple crochet front post on the sc row, 2nd from the right

5) again tripple crochet but 3 stitch away from the first

6) connect to the top row with single crochet to the next 3 starting from the 2nd stitch from where we stop

Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sl st to join to the 1st st. 5) Ch 3, 1 sc on top of the sc in the previous row (skip all the puff st). Sl st to join to the 1st st. 6) Ch 1, [ 5 double crochet (dc) in the ch3 space, 1 sc to the top of the sc in previous row) 8 times. 7) Sc all around the back loop. Sponge Bob Square Bag

 This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color.
