Tutorial Crochet Sarung / Bakul / Uncang Telur - jenis puff stitch.

This video is in Bahasa Malaysia but it is easy to follow even if you do not know the language.

This is what you need to do :

1) make a slip knot and chain 5

2) joined the 5 chain with a slip stitch

3) row 1 : make 24 double crochet into the ring

4) row 2 : single crochet on 1st and 2nd chain then join together by yarn over all

5) continue till you get 12 puffs (refer video on youtube above)

6) row 3 : make one puff on each empty space then chain one and continue the next puff

7) row 4 till row 8 do the same (will get 12 puffs in each row)

8) row 7 : single crochet all around

9) make a handle by making chain 20, joint to the opposite side with a slip stitch and make another chain 20, knot it and cut it, curl it to the first chain 20 and slip stitch at the end

Special Kopiah / Songkok / Peci / Cap

This pattern is lovely on kopiah or some called it songkok or peci or cap. It is easy to crochet and you can make it in just a few hours. Below is the tutorial video. Kopiah 1) make a magic ring, chain 2, 12 double crochet (dc) in magic ring and seal it with a slip stitch (sl st). 2) chain (ch) 2, 2 dc in each, sl st (total 24 stitches) 3) ch 2, (2dc, dc) repeat till the end, sl st (total 36 stitches) 4) ch 2, (2dc, dc in next 2) repaet till the end, sl st (total 48 stitches) 5) ch 2, (2dc, dc in next 3) repeat till the end, sl st (total 60 stitches) 6) ch 2, (2dc dc in next 4) repeat till the end, sl st (total 72 stitces) Repeat in the same manner until you get the size you want. Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make. The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail. Valentine Couple Cats

This pair of cats are made using cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. You will need some stuffing and a safety nose. If you do not have any, you can sew the nose with some yarn. It stands at 11 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. I would say that it is quite a big cat.
