A Pot Of Carnation

 I had assemble all 3 carnation flowers into the pot by connecting all the flowers to a small flat round piece of crochet, that look like a mini mat, which has the same pattern as the bottom of the pot. Makes it look like I had 3 carnations in soil, in a pot. Just in time for Mother's Day.

Round Pot (can use either 5 mm hook or 4 mm hook)

1) magic ring, 6 single crochet (sc) in it (6 stitches)

2) 2 sc (increase) in each (12 stitches)

3) [sc, inc] repeat all around (18 stitches)

4) [inc, sc in next 2] repeat all around (24 stitches)

5) [sc in next 3, inc] repeat all around (30 stitches)

6) [inc, sc in next 4] repeat all around (36 stitches)

7) [sc in next 5, inc] repeat all aound (42 stitches)

8) [inc, sc in next 6] repeat all around (48 stitches)

9) ch 2, double crochet (dc) in each, all around - only on the front loop

10) - 11) ch 2, do 4 front post follow by 4 back post, repeat all around

12) - 13) ch 2, do 4 back post follow by 4 front post, repeat all around

 This pattern is lovely on kopiah or some called it songkok or peci or cap. It is easy to crochet and you can make it in just a few hours.  Below is the tutorial video. Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Valentine Couple Cats

 This pair of cats are made using cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. You will need some stuffing and a safety nose. If you do not have any, you can sew the nose with some yarn. It stands at 11 inches tall and about 4 inches wide.
