3-D Leaf Beret

This beret has 3-D leaf on it but because I used 3 colour yarn, it is not so obvious. If you use just one colour yarn, it would look obvious. It is very easy to do and it is all about back post and front post.

The tutorial video.

I used cotton yarn and a 4.5 mm hook. Start by making a magic ring. Chain 3 (this will count as a double crochet (dc)) and do a double crochet (dc). Then chain 1 and make a 2nd dc inside the ring. This 2 dc and chain 1 is one set. I made 6 sets all together. One set for one leaf. If you decided to make only 5 leaf, then do 5 sets. End with a slip stitch to the next stitch.

Row 2 - Do one more slip stitch so that we start on the chain 1 space. Chain 3 (count as a dc) and chain 1 (for space), do a dc. Do a back post on the following 2 dc chain. So there is an increase on the leave part (we are building the leaf on the chain 1 space) but the back post part, no increase. End with a slip stitch to the top of the chain 3.

Row 3 - Do a front post on the following 2 dc, at the chain 1 space do a dc, chain 1, dc again. Then do front post on the remaining 2 dc. When reach the back post dc, do back post on the following 2 back post dc.

This is how I increase the leaf. Continue in this manner until you get to your desire length.

Now to reduce the leaf part and increase the back post part. Do a 2 together front post, then front post all the way until the last 2 front post, we do a 2 together front post. Do a dc between the front post and the back post part. Then back post, back post and a dc. Repeat this all around. Repeat in the same manner by reducing the leaf part and increasing the back post part until there is no more leaf.

Once we have no more leaf (front post) anymore, we chain 1 and do a back post all around for 5 rows.

Then we chain 3, do a front post 2 together then a back post. Repeat all around.

Then we do a back post follow by a front post. Repeat all around.

The following row, we chain 1, do a single crochet (sc) then a sc 2 together. Repeat all around.

The last row, do a chain 1 and a reverse sc all around.

Hope you like this beret as much as I do. Don't forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel. Feel free to follow me on FacebookShopeeTiktok and Instagram. Thank you.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video :   The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (dec)] - 6 sets,

Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Crochet Mooncake

This is my second crochet mooncake. This pattern is different from my first crochet mooncake. I made two version. One with lace yarn and a 2 mm hook and another with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. The lace yarn mooncake is smaller than the cotton yarn mooncake due to the size of the yarn and hook yet both are equally lovely and look quite like the real thing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake (make 2 - top piece and bottom piece) 1) Start with a magic ring. Make 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 8] 2) Make 2 sc into each stitch (inc)     [total 16] 3) (Sc, inc) - 8X only on the back loop     [total 24] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 8X     [total 37] 5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 8X  only on the back loop     [total 40] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 6) (Sc next 2, inc, sc next 2) - 8X     [total 48] 7) (Sc, half double crochet (hdc) next 2, 2 double crochet (dc) in the same stitch, hdc next 2, sc, slip stitch) - 6X After complete the top piece,
