Flat Ear Bunny

 This is a bunny with flat ears. If you do not want to change colour, you can just follow the written pattern and make a one colour bunny with flat ears. Made these with a 3.5 mm hook and 5 ply cotton yarn. It can sit on it's own. The legs were sew on later. The body and head were crochet together. Later only attached the legs and arms.

The written pattern.


Body/Head
1) Magic Ring, 10 single crochet (sc) in ring (10 stitches)
2) 2 sc (inc) in each stitch (20 stitches)
3) sc in each stitch around (20 stitches)
4) (inc,  sc in next), repeat around (30 stitches)

This is where I change colour – for the skirt

5) -11) sc in each stitch around (30 stitches)
12) [do a 2 together (dec), sc in next 4] repeat around (25 stitches)
13) sc in each stitch around (25 stitches)
14) [dec,  sc in next 3] repeat around (20 stitches)
15) sc in each stitch around (20 stitches)
16) [dec, sc in next 2] repeat around (15 stitches)
17) sc in each stitch around (15 stitches)
18) [dec, sc in next] repeat around (10 stitches)
start stuffing and change colour for the head


19) inc in each stitch around (20 stitches)
20) [inc, sc in next] repeat around (30 stitches)
21)-28) sc in each stitch around (30 stitches)
Add safety eyes and nose (or stitch on eyes/nose) and add stuffing. This is also the time to add eye lashes n blusher (optional).


29) [dec, sc in next 3] repeat around (24 stitches) 
30) sc in each stitch around (24 stitches)
31) [dec, sc in next 2] repeat around, join (18 stitches)
32) [dec, sc in next] repeat around (12 stitches)
33) dec all around (6 stitches), use needle, chain all the front loop and pull to close up the hole

 

Ear
Chain 20, 2 triple crochet in 5th chain from hook and in next, double crochet in next 4, half double crochet in next 4, sc in remaining chains, now sc along the edges of the ear making 2 sc in each of the stitches around the bottom/wider part of the ear. The edges you can change color (optional). Join to top of bunny head, repeat to make second ear. 

 

Bunny feet
1) magic ring and make 10 sc in ring (10 stitches)
2) [inc, sc in next] repeat around (15 stitches)
3)-4) sc in each stitch around (15 stitches)
5) [dec, sc in next] repeat around (10 stitches)
6) dec 2 times, sc in last 6 (8 stitches)
7) dec, sc in last 6 (6 stitches)
Fasten of, stuff with poly-fil, leave long tail for sewing


Bunny Arms
1) Magic ring, and make 8 sc in ring (8 stitches)
2)-4) sc in each stitch around (8 stitches)
5) [dec, sc in next two] repeat around (6 stitches)

Change color (optional)
6) sc in each stitch around (6 stitches)
stuff lightly and fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.


Tail ( if you do not have a dress)


 1) magic ring, 6 sc in the ring (6 stitches)

2) inc all around (12 stitches)

3) [sc, inc] repeat all around (18 stitches)

4) - 5) sc all around (18 stitches)

6) [sc, dec] repeat all around (12 stitches)

7) [sc in next 2, dec] repeat all around (9 stitches)

add some stuffing and leave a long yarn before cutting

Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Valentine Couple Cats

 This pair of cats are made using cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. You will need some stuffing and a safety nose. If you do not have any, you can sew the nose with some yarn. It stands at 11 inches tall and about 4 inches wide.
