Succulent Plant in a ball of soil

This succulent plants are easy to make. I also did a round ball to sew the plants to, so that I can place it in any pots or it can just stand on it's own. You can customized the size of the plant by making more foundation chain at the start.

The tutorial video :

I used a 4mm hook. You can chain 21 (can't make any shorter than this) or 41 or 51 as the foundation chain. You can make more than that but I prefer the plant to be small.

1) single crochet (sc) on the 2nd stitch from hook, chain 2 (ch 2), skip 1, sc, ch 2, skip 1, sc, ch 2 - repeat till the end.

2) ch 2, turn the work, 2 double crochet (dc), in the chain space, ch 2, 2 dc in the same chain space, slip stitch - this makes 1 petal

3) ch 1, and 2 dc in the next chain space, ch 2, 2 dc in the same chain space, slip stitch - continue in the same manner for about three quarter

4) The balance quarter of the foundation chain, half of it we are going to do the same manner as above but using half double crochet instead.

5) The last few chain space, crochet the same manner as above but using single crochet instead.

Roll it up and will get a succulent plant.

The round soil (small)

1) magic ring, 6 single crochet (sc) [total 6]

2) 2 sc in one (inc) [total 12]

3) (sc, inc) - repeat all around [total 18]

4) sc, (inc, sc next 2) - repeat all around [total 24]

5) (sc next 3, inc) - repeat all around [total 30]

6) - 11) sc all around [total 30]

12) (sc next 3, 2 together (dec)) - repeat all around [total 24]

13) sc, (dec, sc next 2) - repeat all around [total18]

14) (sc, dec) - repeat all around [total 12]

15) dec all around [total 6]

close up the ball

The round soil (medium)

Same as above but add one more increase after total 30. Do a sc next 2, (inc, sc next 4) - repeat all around [total 36]. After that the next 8 rows do sc all around [total 36]. After that do dec, like above until the ball close up.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video :   The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (dec)] - 6 sets,

Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Crochet Mooncake

This is my second crochet mooncake. This pattern is different from my first crochet mooncake. I made two version. One with lace yarn and a 2 mm hook and another with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. The lace yarn mooncake is smaller than the cotton yarn mooncake due to the size of the yarn and hook yet both are equally lovely and look quite like the real thing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake (make 2 - top piece and bottom piece) 1) Start with a magic ring. Make 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 8] 2) Make 2 sc into each stitch (inc)     [total 16] 3) (Sc, inc) - 8X only on the back loop     [total 24] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 8X     [total 37] 5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 8X  only on the back loop     [total 40] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 6) (Sc next 2, inc, sc next 2) - 8X     [total 48] 7) (Sc, half double crochet (hdc) next 2, 2 double crochet (dc) in the same stitch, hdc next 2, sc, slip stitch) - 6X After complete the top piece,
