Amigurumi Cats - Cool Yin And Yang Cats

 These cats do not have paws and can't really sit on their own. Can lean it against a book or the wall. I decided to sew them onto a tote bag, which will be in my next post. I still find it cute even though it is without paws. I used cotton yarn and 3 mm hook and safety nose. The eyes, I sew it on with cotton yarn.

Head 

1) Magic ring, 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring [total 6]

2) 2 sc into each stitch (increase) [total 12]

3) (sc, inc) repeat all around [total 18]

4) (sc next 2, inc) repeat all around [total 24]

5) (sc next 3, inc) repeat all around [total 30]

6) - 9) sc all around [total 30]

10) (sc next 3, sc 2together (decrease)) [total 24]

11) (sc next 2, dec) [total 18]

12) (sc, dec) repeat all around [total 12] - no need to seal the hole, leave a long tail for sewing.


Body

1) Magic ring, 6 sc into ring [total 6]

2) Inc all around [total 12]

3) (sc, inc) repeat all around [total 18]

4) (sc next 2, inc) repeat all around [total 24]

5) (sc next 3, inc) repeat all around [total 30]

6) - 8) sc all around [total 30]

9) sc, inc, sc next 2, inc, sc next 16, inc, sc next 2, inc, sc [total 26]

10) sc all around [total 26]

11) sc, inc, sc, inc, sc next 14, inc, sc, inc, sc [total 22]

12) sc all around [total 22]

13) sc, inc, sc, inc, sc next 10, inc, sc, inc, sc [total 18]

14) sc all around [total 18]

15) sc next 14, inc, sc next 6, inc, sc next 4 [total 16]

16) sc all around [total 16]

17) (sc next 2, dec) repeat all around [total 12]

18) sc all around [total 12]

Joint with the head. Remember to add safety nose and eyes, if any, before you joint the head to the body.


Ear

1) Magic ring, 6 sc into ring [total 6]

2) (sc next 2, inc) repeat all around [total 8]

3) (sc next 3, inc) repeat all around [total 10]

4) (sc next 4, inc) repeat all around [total 12]

5) sc next 5, inc) repeat all around [total 14]


Tail

Magic ring, 4 sc into ring. repeat sc all around for several rows (total 4 in each row) till the length you want. Mine was a long tail, about 10 to 12 rows.

Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Special Kopiah / Songkok / Peci / Cap

 This pattern is lovely on kopiah or some called it songkok or peci or cap. It is easy to crochet and you can make it in just a few hours.  Below is the tutorial video. Kopiah  1) make a magic ring, chain 2, 12 double crochet (dc) in magic ring and seal it with a slip stitch (sl st). 2) chain (ch) 2, 2 dc in each, sl st (total 24 stitches) 3) ch 2, (2dc, dc) repeat till the end, sl st (total 36 stitches) 4) ch 2, (2dc, dc in next 2) repaet till the end, sl st (total 48 stitches) 5) ch 2, (2dc, dc in next 3) repeat till the end, sl st (total 60 stitches) 6) ch 2, (2dc dc in next 4) repeat till the end, sl st (total 72 stitces) Repeat in the same manner until you get the size you want.  The pattern. 1) ch 2, dc all around for 2 rows 2) sc all around for 1 row 3) ch 2, dc all around for 1 row 4) tripple crochet front post on the sc row, 2nd from the right 5) again tripple crochet but 3 stitch away from the first 6) connect to the top row with single crochet to the next ...
