Crochet Bird

I made these birds with different yarn but same pattern. The one with cotton yarn are smaller than the one with velvet yarn. The one with cotton yarn I used a 3 mm hook but the velvet yarn, I need to use a 4 mm hook. Due to the hook size and the yarn, it appear bigger. It is all palm size and I didn't make any legs.

8) Ch 1, turn, sc next 2     [total 2]

9) Ch 1, turn, skip 1, sc     [total 1]

10) Ch 1, turn, sc     [total 1]

Sc all around the edge, should have 10 sc on one side and 10 sc on the other side of the wing, so total should be 20 sc to cover the edge of the whole wing.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video :   The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (dec)] - 6 sets,

This is my second crochet mooncake. This pattern is different from my first crochet mooncake. I made two version. One with lace yarn and a 2 mm hook and another with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook.
