Crochet Colorful Fun Snail

 This snail is about 30 cm long, the length of a long ruler. Stand about 28 cm tall. You would need quite a lot of stuffing. I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. I also used a pair of safety eyes and a few maker to mark my way as I crochet, these are optional.

The Head And Body

1) Start with a magic ring, make 6 single crochet (sc) into ring    (total 6)

2) Make 2 sc in each stitch (increase)    (total 12)

3) (sc, inc) - 6 times   (total 18)

4) Sc, inc, (sc next 2, inc) - 5 times, sc   (total 24)

5) (sc next 3, inc) - 6 times,    (total 30)

6) Sc next 2, inc, (sc next 4, inc) - 5 times, sc next 2   (total 36)

7) (sc next 5, inc) - 6 times   (total 42)

8) Sc next 3, inc, (sc next 6, inc) - 5 times, sc next 3   (total 48)

9) - 14) sc all around   (total 48)

15) sc next 3, do a 2 together (decrease), (sc next 6, dec) - 5 times, sc next 3   (total 42)

16) Sc all around   (total 42)

17) (sc next 5, dec) - 6 times   (total 36)

18) Sc all around   (total 36)

Leave some tail and use a needle to sew on all the 6 front loop and pull, to close up the hole. Refer to tutorial video for better understanding.

Can start to add stuffing and do add some pebbles or stones or something that is slightly heavy but not too heavy, to help the snail stand upright once we had assemble.

Now is the time to add safety eyes (optional) and stuffing.

Leave a long tail for sewing.


The Side Of The Snail (optional)

Do one line of sc on the body of the snail (optional), can refer to video on how it look like. On top of these sc start by making a few sc then the rest are half double crochet. You can add some double crochet or even trebal crochet if you want the sides to have a wider sides.

Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sponge Bob Square Bag

 This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color.
