Crochet Rectangle Floral Shawl

This is a simple floral pattern. I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. The length is up to you but I started with a chain 300. I used about 7 rolls of 40 g per roll cotton yarn.

Chain 300, or up to the length you want. Will be working on the length and build upwards and not the width. After chain 300, add 2 more chain and do a double crochet on the 3rd chain from hook. Double crochet in every stitch. Once at the end of the row, chain 2 and turn the work. Do one more row of double crochet. Make sure the number of stitches in both row are the same, in my case, 300.

At the end of the row, chain 7, turn the work and do a treble crochet into the 1st stitch of the chain 7. Chain 3, skip 4, slip stitch in the 5th chain. Chain 3, skip 4, do a treble crochet in the 5th stitch. Chain 5 and do a treble crochet in the same stitch. Chain 3, skip 4 and slip stitch on the 5th chain. Chain 3, skip 4, do a treble crochet in the 5th stitch. Repeat until the end of the row. At the end of the row, treble crochet in the last stitch, chain 2, treble in the same stitch.

Chain 7, treble on the 1st stitch of the chain 7. Treble crochet on the previous slip stitch, chain 5, treble in the same stitch. Chain 3, slip stitch on the 3rd chain of the previous chain 5 space. Chain 3, treble on the previous slip stitch. Chain 5, treble stitch in the same stitch. Repeat till the end. At the end slip stitch on the 4th stitch of the previous chain 7.

At the end, chain 7, turn, do a treble on the 1st chain and repeat the above until you get the width you want. Once you have come to the last row, chain 2, turn the work, do 2 double crochet on the previous chain 3 space. Do a double crochet on top of the previous treble crochet. Do 3 double crochet in the previous chain 5 space. Do a double crochet on top of the previous treble crochet. Do 2 double crochet in the previous chain 3 space. Do a double crochet in the previous slip stitch. Continue until the end. Chain 2, turn the work and do 1 row of double crochet all around. You should get the same number of double crochet as the 1st row.

When you reach the end, chain 1, turn and do single crochet all around. The last row we are going to do some Cassius stitch. Chain 1, slip stitch to the 1st stitch. Chain 6 and slip stitch in the same stitch and repeat 2 more round and you will get a flower on that stitch. Slip stitch in the next 5 stitch and do a Cassius stitch, that is chain 6 and slip stitch in the same stitch, 3 times.

Do the same on the other edge as well. The spacing between each flower is up to you. You can space it out more if you like.

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. Sponge Bob Square Bag

This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color. The pattern below, my 1) is actually the 2nd row and the color I mention is from right to left, like how we crochet. The num...
