Crochet CJ7

 As per my customer's request, a customized palm size CJ7. A Chinese movie character. This is the nearest I can get. Glad that she likes it. I used cotton yarn of yellow and green, some wire for the antenna that is on the head, a pair of safety eyes and a bit of stuffing. I used a 3mm hook.

The Head (yellow)

1) Magic ring, 6 single crochet (sc) into ring     (total 6)

2) Do 2 sc in each stitch (inc)     (total 12)

3) - 4) sc all around     (total 12)

5) (sc, inc) - repeat all around     (total 18)

6) - 7) sc all around     (total 18)

8) (sc, 2 together (dec)) - repeat all around     (total 12)

Time to add the safety eyes (around row 3 and 4).

9) - 10) sc all around     (total 12)

11) dec all around   (total 6)

Seal and cut yarn.


The Body (green)

1) Magic ring, 6 sc into ring     (total 6)

2) inc all around     (total 12)

3) (sc, inc) - repeat all around     (total 18)

4) - 10) sc all around     (total 18)

11) (sc, dec)     (total 12)

12) dec all around     (total 6)

Seal and cut yarn. 


Legs (make 4)

1) Magic ring, 4 sc into ring     (total 4)

2) (inc, sc) - repeat all around     (total 6)

3) sc all around     (total 6)

4) (inc, sc) - repeat all around     (total 9)


Antennae (green)

1) magic ring, 6 sc into ring     (total 6)

2) inc all around     (total 12)

Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sl st to join to the 1st st. 5) Ch 3, 1 sc on top of the sc in the previous row (skip all the puff st). Sl st to join to the 1st st. 6) Ch 1, [ 5 double crochet (dc) in the ch3 space, 1 sc to the top of the sc in previous row) 8 times. 7) Sc all around the back loop. Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi.
