Crochet Plum Blossom

 Crochet plum blossom looks like cherry blossom. Even the actual flower, both look quite alike. I used lace yarn and a 1.5 mm hook. For tutorial sake, I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. Lace yarn make the flower more realistic.

Plum Blossom

1) Magic ring, 6 single crochet (sc) into ring. 

2) Sc all around for 2 rows

3) Increase (do 2 sc in  each stitch) all around and joint with the 1st with a slip stitch

4) Turn the work, sc on the front loop of the first 2 stitch

5) Turn the work, do increase

6) Turn the work, chain 1, do sc and a double crochet (dc) in the same stitch, do a dc and a treble crochet (tc) in the same next stitch, do a tc and a dc in the next same stitch, do a dc and a sc in the last stitch, slip stitch to the bottom oh that stitch. (Refer to video for better understanding).

This is how we make 1 petal, so continue in the same pattern and make 5 more petals. Which means 2 stitch makes 1 petal. We build from that 2 stitch. 

7) We were working on the front loop for those 6 petals. Now move to the back and continue to work on the back loop. Sc on the back loop, make sure you get 12 stitches. Then build 6 more petals on these sc. Same pattern as above. 

8) As for the middle part of the flower, best refer to tutorial video.

Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Crochet Flower Bag

 This is a simple flower bag made using 2 strand of yarn. It is optional, you can use 1 strand instead. I used a 4 mm hook, since it is a 2 strand yarn. I made this for a toddler, so the bag strap is short.  The tutorial video :  Flower Bag 1) Start with a magic ring, chain 2, make 15 double crochet (dc) into the ring.     2) Chain 2, 2 dc in each stitch (dc inc) .      3) Chain 2, (dc, dc inc) - repeat until the end, cut the yarn.     4) Change color. Chain 1, (sc next 2, skip 2, 5 dc in the same stitch, skip 2, sc next 2, skip 2) - repeat until the end.
