Valentine Couple Cats

 This pair of cats are made using cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. You will need some stuffing and a safety nose. If you do not have any, you can sew the nose with some yarn. It stands at 11 inches tall and about 4 inches wide. I would say that it is quite a big cat.

Head

1) Make a magic ring with 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 8]

2) 8 increase (that is 2 sc in 1 stitch)     [total 16]

3) (sc, inc) - 8 times     [total 24]

4) (inc, sc in next 2) - 8 times     [total 32]

5) (sc next 3, inc) - 8 times     [total 40]

6) (inc, sc next 4) - 8 times     [total 48]

7) sc next 3, inc, (sc next 5, inc) - 7 times , sc next 2     [total 56]

8) (inc, sc next 6) - 8 times     [total 64]

9) sc next 4, inc, (sc next 7, inc) - 7 times, sc next 3     [total 72]

10) - 12) sc all around     [total 72]

13) sc next 4, dec {do a 2 together, or invisible decrease}, (sc next 7, dec) - 7 times, sc next 3                        [total 64]

14) (dec, sc next 6) - 8 times     [total 56]

15) sc next 3, dec, (sc next 5, dec) - 7 times, sc next 2     [total 48]

16) (dec, sc next 4) - 8 times     [total 40]

Now is the time to add safety nose, if any.

The hole is not seal. There will be a small hole / opening. Add stuffing and plum it up. Leave a long tail for sewing.

4) (inc, sc next 2) - 6 time     [total 24]

5) (sc next 3, inc) - 6 times     [total 30]

6) sc next 2, inc, (sc next 4, inc) - 5 times, sc next 2     [total 36]

7) (inc, sc next 5) - 6 times     [total 42]

8) sc next 3, inc, (sc next 6, inc) - 5 times, sc next 3     [total 48]

9) (inc, sc next 7) - 6 times     [total 54]

This is the row I start the heart shape tapestry. Refer to the tutorial video above. Add a stuffing now.

Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sponge Bob Square Bag

 This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color.
