Strawberry T Shirt Yarn Tote Bag

This tote bag is make using t-shirt yarn and a 8 mm hook. The pattern is linen stitch. Linen stitch is a single crochet in one stitch, chain one or two or three, skip one and do a single crochet and repeat all over. I added a pair of strawberry in the middle of the bag.

The tutorial video :

I started with a foundation chain of 24. Do a single crochet (sc) on the 4th chain from the hook. Then chain 1, skip 1 and do a sc on the next. Repeat until end of the row. At the last stitch stitch, do one more set of linen stitch. Now work on the opposite side of the foundation chain.

Sc on the previous chain 1 space, chain 1, skip 1 (skip the previous sc stitch) sc in the next. Repeat until the end of the row. Do one more linen stitch on the last stitch (which is also the first stitch on the foundation chain.

The 2nd row, chain 3, do a sc on the chain 1 space, chain 3 and do a sc on the chain 1 space. Repeat until you come to the end of row 2.

The 3rd row, chain 3, do a sc on the chain 3 space but on the 2nd stitch of the chain 3 space. Repeat all around until you come to the height that you want. You can also change color like mine or you can just continue with the same color.

Once you got the height that you want, use a marker and mark where you are going to make the strap. Refer to video for better understanding. The first few row of the strap I did linen stitch. Instead of doing it all around, I turn my work. When I turn my work, I only chain 1 and sc on the chain 3 space. The following linen stitch, I chain 3. This is to make the side curve.

At the top of the strap (the part for our shoulder) I chain 1 and make 2 sc into the chain space, repeat until the end of the row. The following row, just sc all around until you come to the length that you want.

As for the strawberry, you would have to refer to my other post. Hope you like this bag as much as I do. Do subscribe to my Youtube channel and follow me on Facebook , Tiktok and Instagram . Counting on you. Thank you and see you in my next post.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video :   The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (dec)] - 6 sets,

Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Crochet Mooncake

This is my second crochet mooncake. This pattern is different from my first crochet mooncake. I made two version. One with lace yarn and a 2 mm hook and another with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. The lace yarn mooncake is smaller than the cotton yarn mooncake due to the size of the yarn and hook yet both are equally lovely and look quite like the real thing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake (make 2 - top piece and bottom piece) 1) Start with a magic ring. Make 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 8] 2) Make 2 sc into each stitch (inc)     [total 16] 3) (Sc, inc) - 8X only on the back loop     [total 24] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 8X     [total 37] 5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 8X  only on the back loop     [total 40] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 6) (Sc next 2, inc, sc next 2) - 8X     [total 48] 7) (Sc, half double crochet (hdc) next 2, 2 double crochet (dc) in the same stitch, hdc next 2, sc, slip stitch) - 6X After complete the top piece,
