A Floral Bucket Hat For All Sizes

This bucket hat, I used a multi color nylon ribbon tape / yarn. The ribbon is flat like a tape. The diameter of the yarn is about 3mm and 1 roll is about 100 gm. I used 2 rolls for this hat, adult size. Made some flower stitch at the side of the hat.

The tutorial video :

The Hat Pattern

1) Start by making a magic ring and make 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 6]

2) Do 2 sc into each stitch (increase)     [total 12]

3) (Sc, inc) - 6 times   [total 18]

4) Sc, (inc, sc next 2) - 5 times, inc, sc next 1     [total 24]

5) (Inc, sc next 3) - 6 times    [total 30]

6) Sc next 2, (inc, sc next 4) - 5 times, inc, sc next 2    [total 36]

7) (Inc, sc next 5) - 6 times    [total 42]

8) Sc next 3, (inc, sc next 6) - 5 times, inc sc next 3     [total 48]

9) (Inc, sc next 7) - 6 times     [total 54]

10) Sc next 4, (inc, sc next 8) - 5 times, inc, sc next 4     [total 60]

11) (Inc, sc nect 9) - 6 times     [total 66]

12) Sc next 5, (inc, sc next 10) - 5 times, inc, sc next 5     [total 72]

13) (Inc, sc next 11) - 6 times     [total 78]

14) Sc next 6, (inc, sc next 12) - 5 times, inc, sc next 6     [total 84]

15) (Inc, sc next 13) - 6 times     [total 90]

16) Sc next 7, (inc, sc next 14) - 5 times, inc, sc next 7     [total 96]

17) (Inc, sc next 15) - 6 times     [total 102]

18) Sc next 8, (inc, sc next 16) - 5 times, inc sc next 8     [total 108]

19) (Inc, sc next 17) - 6 times     [total 114]

20) Sc next 9, (inc, sc next 18) - 5 times, inc, sc next 9     [total 120]

21) (Inc, sc next 19) - 6 times     [total 126]

Measure the circumference of the head and see which row you should stop crocheting.

Now do 1 row of sc all around, follow by 2 to 3 rows of double crochet (dc) all around.

Now we can build the flower stitch. The gap between each flower is preferable 8 stitches away. If total number of stitches you have is not in a multiple of 8, then maybe some of the flowers gap could be slightly more or less. If you do not wish to have flowers then just either sc or dc all around until you come to the length that you want.

Flower stitch

Do a dc, chain 2, do a sc on the dc stitch. Do another dc into the same stitch and sc onto the dc stitch. Repeat 10 times to make 1 flower. Refer to the tutorial video for better understanding.

The number of flowers is up to you, but I did 2 rows of flowers. The rest I filled it up with dc.

The Last Part Of The Hat

Once you have reach the length that you want, check to see if you need to do decrease (2 together). I want this part to tighten a bit, so I did some decrease (dec). That is after 6 to 7 stitches away, I do a dec. This is optional.

After this, do 1 row of sc only on the front loop. The next row do inc after every 2 sc, The following row, do an inc after every 4 stitches. Lastly, do few rows of sc all around until you come to the length that you want.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. Sponge Bob Square Bag

This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color. The pattern below, my 1) is actually the 2nd row and the color I mention is from right to left, like how we crochet. The num...
