A Horizontal 2 Compartments 3 Colors Star Stitch Handphone Bag

 This is a simple horizontal star stitch handphone bag. Made it in 3 colors. The front and the back has different colors. It has 2 compartments. Just crochet star stitch into a rectangle piece and sew the sides together and will have a handphone bag.

Star Stitch

1) Make a foundation chain in multiple of 2 and add 2 stitch

2) Insert hook into the 2nd chain from hook, yarn over and pull up a loop and leave it on the hook

3) (Insert hook into the next chain, yarn over and pull up a loop) - 4 times and leave it on the hook.

4) Now you will have 6 loops on your hook. Yarn over and put thru all 6 loops that is on the hook.

5) Now chain 1 and you will create an eye on the star. This is the completion of the 1st star stitch.

6) Now we will do the 2nd star stitch. Insert the hook into the eye of the previous star stitch and pull up a loop and leave it on the hook.

7) Insert the hook into the leg of the previous star stitch and pull up a loop and leave it on the hook. 

8) Insert hook into the same stitch as the last part of the previous star stitch and pull up a loop and leave it on the hook.

9) Insert the hook into the next unworked stitch, pull up a loop and leave it on the hook.

10) Lastly, insert hook into the next unworked stitch and pull up a loop and leave it on the hook. By now you should have 6 loop on your stitch. Yarn over and put thru all 6 loops that is on the hook. You have completed the 2nd star stitch. 

Continue in the same manner until the end of the foundation chain. Refer to tutorial video for better understanding. 

11) Once you have reached the end of the row, the last star stitch, we end it with a half double crochet on the same last stitch. 

12) Row 2. Chain 1, turn the work. Do a single crochet in the 1st stitch. Another single crochet in the eye of the previous 1st star stitch. Do 2 single crochet in every eye of the stars. At the end of the row, do one more single crochet in the last stitch after the eye. 

13) Row 3. Chain 2, turn the work. pull up a loop from the front loop of the 2nd stitch from hook. Pull up another loop from the back loop of the 2nd stitch from hook. Pull up another loop from the same stitch of the chain 2. Pull up a loop from the next 2 stitches. All in you will have 6 loops on your hook. Pull up a yarn and put thru all 6 of the loops. This complete the 1st star of this row. 

Continue in the same manner until you get the length that you want.


Bag Strap (i-cord)

Make a knot then chain 3. Pull up a loop from the 2nd chain from the hook and leave it on the hook. Pull up another loop from the 3rd chain from the hook and leave it on the hook. Remove the the last 2 loop from hook and hold it with your finger. Yarn over and insert hook into the 2nd loop that you are holding and pull up a loop and leave it on the hook. Put hook into the last loop, yarn over and pull up a loop and leave it on the hook. Repeat until you come to the length that you want. Refer to tutorial video for guidance.

Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sl st to join to the 1st st. 5) Ch 3, 1 sc on top of the sc in the previous row (skip all the puff st). Sl st to join to the 1st st. 6) Ch 1, [ 5 double crochet (dc) in the ch3 space, 1 sc to the top of the sc in previous row) 8 times. 7) Sc all around the back loop. Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi.
