Primrose Stitch And Polish Star Stitch Blouse

The multicolor part of the blouse is primrose stitch and the middle part is polish star stitch. It is just a simple t shirt like blouse. I used bamboo yarn and a 3 mm hook.

The tutorial video :

The Primrose Stitch Part

It is in a multiple of 3. I am doing it in a round. Measure your body and see how wide you want it to be. I did 240 stitches on the foundation chain. Make a foundation chain of the length that you want. Do not connect the chain yet. Add 2 more stitches and turn your work. Single crochet on the 3rd chain from hook. Chain 2 and do a single crochet into the same stitch. Skip 2 and repeat. Do this until the end of the row and joint up to make it in a round.

Row 2, do 3 double crochet into the chain 2 space. Do another 3 double crochet in the next chain 2 space and repeat until the end. I am going in a round and not going to slip stitch. Once at the end of the row, do a single crochet on top of the previous 2nd double crochet, chain 2 and again single crochet into the same stich. Repeat the same on the next. Technically it is still single crochet, chain 2, single crochet and skip 2 like the above.

Repeat row 1 and 2 until you come to the length that you want.

The Polish Star Stitch

It is in a multiple of 8. So if the above you didn't get it in a multiple of 8, do a row of single crochet and do some increase or decrease to get the number. I am doing it in a round. Do double crochet in the next 4 stitches, chain 10, and do double crochet in the next 4 and repeat until the end.

Row 2, change color, do a double crochet increase on top of the 1st double crochet of the previous row. Then do double crochet on the next 2. Do a double crochet increase on top of the 4th double crochet of the previous row. Chain 10. Do a double crochet on the middle 2 double crochet of the previous row. Next set, repeat the above to make 6 double crochet sitting above the previous 4 double crochet follow by 2 double crochet above the 4 double crochet of the previous row. Refer to tutorial video for better understanding.

Row 3, repeat row 1. above the 6 double crochet do only 4 double crochet, that is, skip the first and last double crochet. The next set, on top of the 2 double crochet, do double crochet increase on top of each double crochet and will get 4 double crochet.

After a few rows of  Polish Star stitch, I change color and switch back to Primrose stitch. About 3/4 way I add a few stitches on the side for the sleeves and no longer work in a round. Refer to part 2 of video.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video :   The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (dec)] - 6 sets,

Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Crochet Mooncake

This is my second crochet mooncake. This pattern is different from my first crochet mooncake. I made two version. One with lace yarn and a 2 mm hook and another with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. The lace yarn mooncake is smaller than the cotton yarn mooncake due to the size of the yarn and hook yet both are equally lovely and look quite like the real thing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake (make 2 - top piece and bottom piece) 1) Start with a magic ring. Make 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 8] 2) Make 2 sc into each stitch (inc)     [total 16] 3) (Sc, inc) - 8X only on the back loop     [total 24] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 8X     [total 37] 5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 8X  only on the back loop     [total 40] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 6) (Sc next 2, inc, sc next 2) - 8X     [total 48] 7) (Sc, half double crochet (hdc) next 2, 2 double crochet (dc) in the same stitch, hdc next 2, sc, slip stitch) - 6X After complete the top piece,
