Crochet Small Pouch

I made this cute pouch with nylon yarn and a 2.5 mm hook. I sew it on to a kiss lock or some called it metal clasp. The diameter of this particular lock is about 9 cm long. You can make one in just a couple of hour.

The tutorial video :

Pouch Written Pattern

1) Start with a magic ring. Make 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 6]

2) Do 2 sc into each stitch (inc)     [total 12]

3) (Inc, sc) - 6X     [total 18]

4) (Inc, sc next 2) - 6X     [total 24]

5) (Inc, sc next 3) - 6X     [total 30]

6) (Inc, sc next 4) - 6X     [total 36]

7) (Inc, sc next 5) - 6X     [total 42]

8) (Inc, sc next 6) - 6X     [total 48]

9) (Inc, sc next 7) - 6X     [total 54]

This piece of crochet is the size of my kiss lock / metal clasp when open wide. If your lock is of different size you can continue to do increase to the size of your lock.

Once you have the right size of the base, do one row of single crochet all around. The following row, 1st stitch, do a single crochet front post (refer to video), do a single crochet in the next. Repeat this, front post single crochet follow by a single crochet in the next, until the length that you want. I am doing it in a round. I did not slip stitch at the end of each row. Please refer to the tutorial video above for better understanding.

Once you have the length that you want, sew the bag to the metal clasp / kiss lock with thread. I used silver thread to match the color of the lock. So one glance you can't see the sewing on the metal lock.

May you have fun making one. Do subscribe to my Youtube Channel and follow me on Threads , Facebook , Tiktok and Instagram . Thank you and see you in my next post.

Sponge Bob Square Bag

This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color. The pattern below, my 1) is actually the 2nd row and the color I mention is from right to left, like how we crochet. The num...
