Rafia Yarn Fedora Hat

 This Fedora Hat is made with 2 different color rafia yarn. I used a 3.5 mm hook.

Hat Pattern

1) Chain 8. 3rd chain from hook do a single crochet (sc). Do sc in the next 4. On the last stitch do 3 sc. Then do sc in the next 5. 5 sc in the last stitch.     [total 18 stitches]

2) Sc in the next 6 stitches, 3 sc in the turning stitch, sc next 6, do inc next 5 (2 sc in the same stitch is an inc)     [total 25 stitches]

3) Sc next 7, 3 sc in the turning stitch, sc next 7, (inc, sc) - 5X     [total 32 stitches]

4) Sc next 7, inc next 3, sc next 8, (inc, sc next 2) - 4X, inc, sc     [total 40 stitches]

5) Sc next 7, (inc, sc) - 3X, sc next 9, (inc, sc next 3) - 4X, inc, sc     [total 48 stitches]

6) - 7) Sc all around     [total 48 stitches]

8) (inc, sc next 7) - 6X     [total 54 stitches]

9) Sc all around     [total 54 stitches]

10) Sc next 4, (inc, sc next 8) - 5X, inc, sc next 4     [total 60 stitches]

11) Sc all around     [total 60 stitches]

12) (Inc, sc next 9) - 6X     [total 66 stitches]

13) Sc all around     [total 66 stitches]

14) Sc next 5, (inc, sc next 10) - 5X, inc, sc next 5     [total 72 stitches]

15) - 16) sc all around     [total 72 stitches]

17) (Inc, sc next 11) - 6X     [total 78 stitches]

18) - 19) Sc all around     [total 78 stitches]

20) Sc next 2, (inc, sc next 25) - 2X, inc, sc next 23     [total 81 stitches]

21) - 22) Sc all around     [total 81 stitches]

23) Sc next 10, (inc, sc next 26) - 2X, inc, sc next 16     [total 84 stitches]

24) Do about 8 to 10 rows of sc all around      [total 84 stitches] . At this point, measure on the head, once it reach the ears, we can stop. The diameter should be around 36 cm. 


Brim

1) Now do slip stitch all around (make sure not too tight)

2) (Inc, sc next 13) - 6X     [total 90 stitches]

3) Sc next 7, (inc, sc next 14) - 5X, inc, sc next 7     [total 96 stitches]

4) (Inc, sc next 15) - 6X     [total 102 stitches]

5) Sc next 8, (inc, sc next 16) - 5X, inc, sc next 8     [total 108 stitches]

6) (Inc, sc next 17) - 6X     [total 114 stitches]

7) Sc next 9, (inc, sc next 18) - 5X, inc, sc next 9     [total 120 stitches]

8) (Inc, sc next 19) - 6X     [total 126 stitches]

9) Sc next 10, (inc, sc next 20) - 5X, inc, sc next 10     [total 132 stitches]

10) (Inc, sc next 21) - 6X     [total 138]

11) Sc next 11, (inc, sc next 22) - 5X, inc, sc next 11     [total 144 stitches]

Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sponge Bob Square Bag

 This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color.
