This is a simple ribbon bow, crochet version. You can use just about any type of yarn. I used cotton yarn for this ribbon bow.
The tutorial video :
Ribbon Bow Pattern - Lower Part Of The Bow
Start with a chain 19. On the 2nd stitch from the hook do slip stitch. Do single crochet on the next stitch, a half double crochet on the next, double crochet on the next 3 stitches, half double crochet on the next, single crochet on the next and slip stitch on the next stitch. By now you will be in the middle of the chain 19. Repeat the above again until the end of the chain.
Now chain 1, and do slip stitch until the end of the row. Chain 1 again and do slip stitch on the bottom edge. Technically is slip stitch all around the whole pattern with a chain 1 on each corner. You can refer to the tutorial video for reference.
Ribbon Bow Pattern - Top Part Of The Bow
Start with a chain 24. Do a slip stitch to joint both ends. Do single crochet on the next, half double crochet in the next, do double crochet in the next 6 stitches, do half double crochet in the next, single crochet in the next, slip stitch in the next. By now you will be half way on the chain 24. Now repeat the whole thing until the end of the row. Start with a slip stitch to the next stitch.
Now do slip stitch all around, even on the bottom part of that circle. Refer to the tutorial video for easy reference and also on how to put the 2 pieces together.
Hope you like this pattern and the tutorial video. The video is easy to follow even for beginners. Give it a try.
