Mini Sunflower Vine

This post is about the mini sunflower. As for the leaf, refer to my other post. There are 3 type of mini sunflower pattern. These are made using cotton yarn.

The tutorial video :

Bigger Mini Sunflower Pattern

1) Use brown color for the core. Make a magic circle / ring. Do 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring    [total 8]

2) Chain 1, turn the work, do single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc) and again sc into the same stitch.     [total 8 sets]

Cut yarn, set aside and hide the tail.

The Green Part

1) Start with a magic circle. Do 8 dc into the ring.      [total 8]

2) Do sc inc all around.     [total 16]

Cut yarn, set aside and hide the tail.

Flower Petal

1) Join the brown and green part together, back to back. The brown part face us when crochet. Do the flower with a sc, dc, chain 2, dc, all in the same stitch. Repeat all around.     [total 16 petal]

Medium Size mini Sunflower

1) Use brown color for the core. Make a magic circle / ring. Do 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring    [total 8]

Do 1 more in green, join them together and do the flower petal like above.      [total 8 sets]

Small Mini Sunflower

The only different between the medium  size and the small sunflower is, the flower petal, just do sc, dc, dc, all in the same stitch minus the chain 2.

Once you made a leaf, chain about 50 and joint with the green part of the flower to form a vine.

For better understanding, refer to the tutorial video. It is easy to follow, even for beginners. Give it a try.
