Crochet Pot On Swing Series # 3 - Potted Succulent Plant, On Swing

This post is all about the succulent plant. Those who wish to learn how to make one, this is the post for you. I used a 3 ply cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm hook.

Big Leaf Pattern (Make 5)

1) Start with a magic circle / ring. Do 4 single crochet (sc) into the ring [total 4]

2) Do 2 sc into each stitch (inc) [total 8]

3) (Sc, inc) - 4X [total 12]

4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 4X [total 16]

5) - 10) Sc all around [total 16]

11) (Sc, do a 2together (dec), sc) - 4X [total 12]

12) (Sc, dec) - 4X [total 8]

Cut yarn. The last one, leave a long tail and sew all 5 together at the bottom. Refer to video.

Medium Leaf Pattern (Make 4)

1) Start with a magic circle / ring. Do 4 sc into the ring [total 4]

2) Inc - 4X [total 8]

3) (Sc, inc) - 4X [total 12]

4) - 6) Sc all around [total 12]

7) (Sc, dec) - 4X [total 8]

8) Sc all around [total 8]

Cut yarn. Leave a long tail on the last one and sew all 4 together at the bottom.

Small Leaf Pattern (make 3)

1) Start with a magic circle / ring. Do 4 sc into the ring [total 4]

2) Inc - 4X [total 8]

3) - 4) Sc all around [total 8]

5) Dec - 4X [total 4]

Cut yarn. Leave a long tail on the last one and sew all 3 together at the bottom.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video : The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make. The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail. Crochet Amigurumi Microphone

This is a simple microphone, made using cotton yarn and some stuffing. Very easy to make. Takes you only about an hour to make 1, even for beginners. The tutorial video : Microphone (use grey yarn) 1) Make a magic ring. Do 10 single crochet into the ring [total 10] 2) - 5) Do single crochet all around [total 10] 6) Do a decrease (2 together), 5 times [total5] 7) - 9) Single crochet all around [total 5] Leave a long tail to sew it to your amigurumi. Now use a black yarn and sew few lines, like above (or refer to tutorial video) to make it look like a microphone. Hope you find this pattern interesting.
