Small Alpine Stitch Purse / Pouch With Kiss Lock

This is a simple small purse with a kiss lock and alpine stitch. I used nylon yarn and a 3.5 mm hook.

Purse Pattern

1) Start with a magic ring. Do 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring [total 6]

2) Do 2 sc into each stitch (inc) - 6X [total 12]

3) (Sc, inc) - 6X [total 18]

4) (Sc next 2, inc) - 6X [total 24]

5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 6X [total 30]

At this point measure it on the kiss lock. Open the lock to it's widest and see if it fits, if it does, stop the circle and work our way up. If not, maybe do a few more rows to form a bigger circle. Mine, I stopped at row 5.

Alpine Stitch

1) Continue from row 5 above. Chain 2, do double crochet (dc) all around and at the end of the row, slip stitch to the 1st stitch.

2) Do sc all around until the end of the row and slip stitch to the 1st stitch.

3) (Do a dc front post, do dc in the next) - repeat until the end of the row.

2) and 3) makes 1 set of alpine stitch. I did 4 sets of it.

Sew it to the kiss lock and you will have yourself a love purse / pouch.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video : The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (dec)] - 6 sets,

Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make. The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail. Crochet Mooncake

This is my second crochet mooncake. This pattern is different from my first crochet mooncake. I made two version. One with lace yarn and a 2 mm hook and another with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. The lace yarn mooncake is smaller than the cotton yarn mooncake due to the size of the yarn and hook yet both are equally lovely and look quite like the real thing.
