Trishaw And Passenger Series # 5 - Napa Cabbage On Trishaw

  This post is about the napa cabbage. The trishaw written pattern is in the earlier post. This is a simple lemon. The pattern is easy, even for beginners.

Napa Cabbage Pattern

Start with white yarn. Chain 11. Start from the 3rd stitch from the hook. Do double crochet in the next 2 stitches, half double crochet in the next 2 stitches, single crochet in the next 3 stitches. At this point you will have 2 more stitch left. Cut yarn.

Now start with green yarn on the wider side of the white part above. Chain 1, do single crochet in the next 2, half double crochet in the next, half double crochet increase in the next (means 2 half double crochet in the same stitch). (Double crochet in the next, double crochet increase in the next) - do 3 sets, in which the last set is on the balance 2 stitch that is on the white chain. Do half double crochet increase in the next, half double crochet in the next, single crochet in the next 2. Cut yarn. 

This makes 1 leaf. Now make 4 or 5 more and sew them together to form the whole cabbage.

Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sl st to join to the 1st st. 5) Ch 3, 1 sc on top of the sc in the previous row (skip all the puff st). Sl st to join to the 1st st. 6) Ch 1, [ 5 double crochet (dc) in the ch3 space, 1 sc to the top of the sc in previous row) 8 times. 7) Sc all around the back loop. All in 48 sc. 8) - 11) Sc all around. 48 sc in each row. Cut yarn. Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi.
