Sheep in popcorn stitch

These sheep are just so cute. It would make a fun stress ball. Made these with 5 ply cotton yarn and a 3.5mm hook. You would need stuffing, and safety eyes and nose. You can also sew the eyes and nose, if you do not have safety eyes and nose. Will need more yarn for this project because you need 6 double crochet to make one popcorn stitch.

The tutorial video :

The body

1) make a magic ring, 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring (total 6)

2) chain 3, make 6 double crochet (dc) in one stitch, remove hook and place hook on the 5th loop of the dc and hook it to the chain that we removed and yarn over and pull thru all to make one popcorn. So in this row make 6 popcorn (one in each stitch), (total 6)

3) chain 3, make 2 popcorn in one, like an increase (total 12)

4) chain 3, [1 popcorn, 1popcorn increase] make 6 time (total 18)

5) - 10) chain 3, 1 popcorn all around (total 18)

11) chain 3, [1popcorn, 1 popcorn 2 together] make 6 times (total 12)

12) chain 3, [popcorn 2 together] make 6 times (total 6)

add stuffing before completely seal the sheep

13) chain 1, [single crochet 2 together] make 6 times to close up the ball

Face

1) magic ring, chain2, 6 single crochet (sc) into ring (total 6)

2) 2 sc in each (increase) (total 12)

3) [sc next 3, inc] make 3 times (total 15)

4) [sc next 4, inc] make 3 times (total 18)

5) [sc next 5, inc] make 3 times (total 21)

6) [sc next 6, inc] make 3 times (total 24)

7) sc all around (total 24), leave a long tail for sewing and add stuffing

Ears

1) magic ring, 6 sc in ring

2) change color (optional), sc in next 3, inc, sc in next 2, inc, joint with a slip stich, leave a long tail for sewing before cutting yarn

Leg

1) chain 2, 6 sc in the 1st chain (total 6)

2) chain 1, sc all around only on the back loop (total 6)

3) - 4) sc all around (total 6)

Tail

1) magic ring, 4 sc in ring (total 4)

2) - 4) sc all around (total 4)

I sew the legs and the tail when I have completed row 10 of the body. You can also sew the tail and legs after you had completed the body. Sew the head first before attaching the ears. Lastly, make 3 more popcorn for the head. Chain 10, make 1st popcorn on the 4th stitch from hook. After that skip one and make another popcorn. Skip one and the 3rd popcorn. Sew it onto the top of the head.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video :   The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (dec)] - 6 sets,

Tiny Top Hat

This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Crochet Mooncake

This is my second crochet mooncake. This pattern is different from my first crochet mooncake. I made two version. One with lace yarn and a 2 mm hook and another with cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. The lace yarn mooncake is smaller than the cotton yarn mooncake due to the size of the yarn and hook yet both are equally lovely and look quite like the real thing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake (make 2 - top piece and bottom piece) 1) Start with a magic ring. Make 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring     [total 8] 2) Make 2 sc into each stitch (inc)     [total 16] 3) (Sc, inc) - 8X only on the back loop     [total 24] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 8X     [total 37] 5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 8X  only on the back loop     [total 40] - If bottom piece, no need back loop only 6) (Sc next 2, inc, sc next 2) - 8X     [total 48] 7) (Sc, half double crochet (hdc) next 2, 2 double crochet (dc) in the same stitch, hdc next 2, sc, slip stitch) - 6X After complete the top piece,
