Chrysanthemum Series # 7 - Big Flower

 Big Flower

1) Chain 6. Joint in a circle with a slip stitch. Do sc into ring until the hole shuts. Cut yarn.

2) Magic ring. Chain 6, ss on the 2nd stitch, sc next 4, ss into ring. Repeat for 10 to 12 times. Cut yarn.

3) Magic ring. Chain 8, ss on the 2nd stitch sc next 6, ss into ring. Repeat for 12 to 14 times. Cut yarn.

4) Magic ring. Chain 10, ss on the 2nd stitch onwards until the end of the row, ss into the ring. Repeat for 10 to 12 times. Cut yarn.

5) Magic ring. Chain 12, ss on the 2nd stitch onwards until the end of the row, ss into the ring. Repeat for 12 to 14 times. Cut yarn.

6) Magic ring. Chain 14, ss on the 2nd stitch onwards until the end of the row, ss into the ring. Repeat for 14 to 16 times. Cut yarn.

# The number of petals for each sets depends on how big your core of the flower will be. Refer to video on how to sew it together.

 This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sl st to join to the 1st st. 5) Ch 3, 1 sc on top of the sc in the previous row (skip all the puff st). Sl st to join to the 1st st. 6) Ch 1, [ 5 double crochet (dc) in the ch3 space, 1 sc to the top of the sc in previous row) 8 times. 7) Sc all around the back loop. All in 48 sc. 8) - 11) Sc all around. 48 sc in each row. Cut yarn. Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi.
