1) Chain 68. Start from 2nd stitch from hook, sc until end of the row.

2) Turn work. Chain 2, dc in the same stitch, skip 2, (dc, chain 2, dc) - in the same stitch, skip 2 and repeat (dc, chain 2, dc) in the same stitch. Repeat in the same manner until the end of the row.

3) Turn work. Chain 2, (dc inc, chain 2, dc inc) - in the chain 2 space. Repeat until the end of the row.

4) Turn work. Sc, 8 dc in the chain 2 space, sc in the space between the 2 chain 2 space. Repeat until the end. 


1) Magic ring. Chain 2, 11 dc into ring, ss to 1st stitch.      [total 12]

2) - 4) Chain 2, dc next 11, ss to the 1st stitch     [total 12]     

5) Chain 2, dc in the same, dc inc in every stitch until the end of the row. Ss to the 1st stitch     [total 24]

6) Chain 2, dc inc in the same, do 3 dc in each stitch until end of the row. Ss to the 1st stitch     [total 72]

7) Chain 2, dc inc in the same. Do 3 dc in each stitch until end of the row. Ss to the 1st stitch  [total 216]

8) (Chain 3, sc to the next) - repeat until the end of the end


1) Magic ring. 6sc into ring      [total 6]
2) From here on, work only on the back loop. Inc - 6X     [total 12]
3) (Sc, inc) - 6X     [total 18]
4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 6X     [total 24]
5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 6X     [total 30]
6) (Sc next 2, inc, sc next 2)      [total 36]
7) - 11) Sc all around     [total 36]
12) (Sc next 2, dec, sc next 2) - 6X     [total 30]
13) (Sc next 3, dec) - 6X     [total 24]
14) (Sc, dec, sc) - 6X     [total 18]
15) (Sc, dec) - 6X     [total 12]
16) Dec - 6X     [total 6]
Work on the front loop of the above. Chain 8, sc to the next. Repeat until the end.

Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Mooncake

  Crochet moon cake. You will need cotton yarn, a 3 mm hook and some stuffing. The tutorial video :  Mooncake 1) Magic ring, 8 single crochet (sc) into ring 2) Work only on the front loop : [ 1 slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch) 6 ] 8 times. Get 8 petals. 3) Work only on the back loop : [ 1 sc, ch2 ] all around and sl st to the join the 1st stitch. 4) Ch 1, [ch2, 3 puff st to the ch2 space, ch 2, 1 sc to the next] 8 times. Sl st to join to the 1st st. 5) Ch 3, 1 sc on top of the sc in the previous row (skip all the puff st). Sl st to join to the 1st st. 6) Ch 1, [ 5 double crochet (dc) in the ch3 space, 1 sc to the top of the sc in previous row) 8 times. 7) Sc all around the back loop. All in 48 sc. 8) - 11) Sc all around. 48 sc in each row. Cut yarn.
