A Cute Pot Of Plant, Crochet

This lovely pot of plant is easy to crochet. The leaves, if you can, get a multi-colored green yarn, and it would make it look more realistic. I used cotton yarn, some stuffing and a pair of safety eyes. I crochet with a 4 mm hook.

The tutorial video :

Soil

1) Start with a magic ring. Do 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring.     [total 8]

2) Do 2 sc (inc) into each stitch.     [total 16]

3) (Sc, inc) - 8X     [total 24]

4) (Sc, inc, sc) - 8X      [total 32]

5) (Sc next 3, inc) - 8X     [total40]

6) (Sc next 2, inc, sc next 2) - 8X     [total 48]

Cut yarn, leave a long tail for sewing and set aside.

Pot

Do one more piece of the exact same pattern as above, in the pot color and continue to build the pot.

7) Sc all around on the back loop only.     [total 48]

8) Sc all around until the height that you want.

Plant

The shortest strand of plant is a chain 10, add 1 more chain, turn the work and sc all the way.

The longest strand of plant is a chain 30, add 1 more chain, turn the work and sc all the way.

So up to you how many or how long you want the plants to be.

I tie the plant, one by one onto the soil piece (refer tutorial video) until it fills up the whole piece. Add safety eyes on the pot. You can also sew some nose, mouth and eyelashes (optional). You can refer to the tutorial video on how I do that. Add stuffing and sew the soil on the pot. I make sure the plants near the eyes are shorter than the rest.

I am sure this would make a lovely gift. Hope you like this pattern as much as I do.
