Granny Square ( Heart) Tote Bag

 This is a lovely granny square tote bag. My first granny square tote bag. Took me a while to perfect this pattern, but it is so worth it. Turns out lovely. I used 8 ply cotton yarn and a 4 mm hook. The written pattern and tutorial video for the 2 granny square is in my earlier post.

First you would have to join those granny square together, in the manner, according the the photo above or the tutorial video. Once it is done, I did 2 rows of single crochet all around the top of the bag, this is optional. Now the bag strap.


Bag Strap Pattern

1) Go to the top of the bag, the side, at the highest point. Here you will find the previous granny square, chain two space part. Start from there, count 5 stitches to the right and 5 to the left. All in the bag strap start with 10 stitches. (Refer to tutorial video). Start with a chain 2, then do double crochet in the next. Do half double crochet in the next 2. Single crochet in the next 2. Half double crochet in the next 2. Double crochet in the next 2. 

2) Now you will be at the end of it. Chain 1 and turn the work. Do double crochet until the end of the row. Repeat the same for as many rows as you need. . Do the same on the other side and both the strap meet in the middle and use a tapestry needle and sew it together. 

3) Sew a bag linen and sew it inside the bag. (refer to the tutorial video).

Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Crochet Amigurumi Microphone

 This is a simple microphone, made using cotton yarn and some stuffing. Very easy to make. Takes you only about an hour to make 1, even for beginners. The tutorial video :  Microphone (use grey yarn) 1) Make a magic ring. Do 10 single crochet into the ring     [total 10] 2) - 5) Do single crochet all around     [total 10] 6) Do a decrease (2 together), 5 times     [total5] 7) - 9) Single crochet all around     [total 5] Leave a long tail to sew it to your amigurumi. Now use a black yarn and sew few lines, like above (or refer to tutorial video) to make it look like a microphone.  Hope you find this pattern interesting.
