Daisy Bag, Crochet

This is a daisy bag made with cotton yarn. The daisy pattern is in the earlier post. Do check it out. This  post is all about the bag. A simple bag with linen inside and a zip. I used 8 ply cotton yarn and a 4 mm hook.

The tutorial video :

Bag Pattern

1) Make a foundation chain of your choice of length. Start from the 2nd stitch from hook, do half double crochet until the end of the row. Then chain 1, turn the work, and do half double crochet until the end of the row. Repeat the same until you create a rectangle, with the length and width of your choice.

2) Once you come to the size of bag base that you want, do single crochet all around the rectangle. Continue to do single crochet all around until you come to the height of the bag, that you want.

3) Sew the flowers and leaf on the bag, one by one, before adding the bag linen and zip.

4) Sew a linen that fits your bag and sew it inside the bag.

5) I make 2 rows of single crochet and sew it to the zip. Then sew the whole thing to the bag. Refer to the tutorial video.

Do refer to the tutorial video for better understanding. The tutorial video is easy to follow, even for beginners. Give it a try.

Peony Flower

This is a big flower compare to the other crochet flowers. You will need cotton yarn, wire and some flower making green tape. I also added a chop stick, or you can use any wood or metal, to hold the flower as it is quite heavy with so many petals and wire. I used 3 different colors for the whole flower. The tutorial video :   The Core Part (use yellow yarn) 1) Chain 9, do 3 single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from the hook, sc in the next, slip stitch (ss) until the end, which you will have 6 ss all in. Chain 9 and repeat the whole thing, all in 8 sets. 2) Chain 10, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 7 ss. Make 9 sets. 3) Chain 11, 3 sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook. Sc in the next and ss in the following stitches until the end of the chain, all in 8 ss. Make 10 sets. 4) Chain 1, do sc on the next 27 stitches on the base. 5) Chain 1, turn the work, [sc in the next 2, do a 2 together (de...
