Houndstooth Stitch Short Jacket

This is a short jacket with houndstooth stitch pattern. There are many combination of colors that makes an outstanding houndstooth pattern. This time round I chose orange and blue.  The tutorial video :  To make houndstooth stitch, make a foundation chain in a multiple of 2 plus 1. I start by making the back panel, work from bottom up. There is no joining at the shoulder part. I continue to build the pattern from the back panel to the front panel.  The length of the foundation chain is the length of your width. How wide you want the coat to be. Make the foundation chain in multiple of 2. Then chain 1 and do a single crochet on the second stitch from hook. Do a double crochet on the next stitch. Follow by a single crochet in the next and a double crochet in the next. Repeat until the end of the row. Always start with a single crochet and end with a double crochet for every row. Once at the end of the row, change color. I did not bring along the 1st color yarn when I do the 2nd row with
