Crochet Flower Earring

I use fine lace yarn, like sewing thread size and a 2 mm hook. It is a very simple to do pattern. You can make a pair of earring in less than an hour. Best use a dual color thread / yarn. The tutorial video :  Flower Pattern 1) Make a magic ring / circle. Chain 2 (count as a double crochet), chain 3, double crochet (dc) into the ring. This makes 1 petal. (Chain 3 and dc into the ring) - repeat 7X. All in 8 petals. The last chain 3, slip stitch to the top of the chain 2.  2) Chain 3, skip 3 and dc on top of the previous dc. Chain 2, turn the work, do 4 dc into that chain 3 space that we just did. Do 5 dc on the nearest dc and joint to the chain 2 with a slip stich. this makes 1 complete petal. Now repeat until the last petal For better understanding, watch the tutorial video above. When the flower is complete, you can add a pearl earring or any other suitable small earring in the middle and you will have a lovely pair of flower earring.  May you have fun making one. V Cut Dinner Bag

The most important part about making a dinner bag, in my opinion is, the color. Choose the right color yarn and the bag turn luxurious. I found this stretchy polypropylene yarn that is black with glittering silver all over. Perfect for making a dinner bag. I choose to make a V shape / cut dinner bag with it. Besides the yarn, I also added a plastic canvas and cloth linen (to cover the plastic canvas in the bag.  The tutorial video :  Bag Pattern 1) Start by making a magic ring / circle. Do 5 single crochet (sc) in the ring. Do not joint the last stitch to the 1st stitch. Will be making a semi circle.  2) Chain 1, turn the work. From now on work only on the back loop. Do 2 sc (inc) on the 1st stitch then sc on the next. The middle stitch (the 3rd stitch), do 3 sc in the same stitch. Add a marker on the middle stitch. Do sc in the next and inc on the last stitch. 3) Chain 1, turn the work. Repeat like the above, do inc on the 1st and the last stitch and do 3 sc in the middle stitch (the

A Coat Of Many Colors

This is a short cardigan, but the length is up to you. It is just mesh stitch plus ribbed pattern at the sides. I used cotton yarns, those left overs yarn from previous projects. I used a 4.5 mm hook for the mesh stitch and 4 mm hook on the ribbed pattern.  The tutorial video :  Start by making several rows of ribbed pattern for the back panel, bottom part. Use a 4 mm hook. To make the ribbed pattern, make a foundation chain of 11 stitches. Turn the work, from the 2nd stitch onwards, do single crochet (sc) only on the back loop. You should have 10 stitches each row. At the end of the row, chain 1, turn the work and repeat sc on the back loop until the end. Build this ribbed pattern up to the length you want. I normally measured it against my body.  Once you have the length you want, turn the work, this time the ribbed pattern looks vertical instead of horizontal. Change your hook to a 4.5 mm. Chain 1, do sc until the end of the row. Now we will start to build the mesh stitch. You need

A Simple Passport / Handphone Bag

I used a pp (polypropylene) spring 4 mm yarn and a hook size is 6 mm to make this bag. It is just single crochet on the back loop and front look.  The tutorial video :  The pattern is simple. Make a foundation chain up to the length that you want. In my case I did a chain of 18. Chain 1 and do a single crochet (on the back loop) on the 2nd stitch from the hook. Do another 5 more, in the next 5. All in, I did 6 single crochet (sc) on the back loop, 6 sc on the front loop and 6 more sc on the back loop. That makes 1 row. Continue to build more rows up to the length that you want.  Now you will get a rectangle piece. Make one more that is longer that the 1st piece. Make a smaller rectangle piece, just sc all around, to make a pocket inside the bag. This is optional. Refer to video for better understanding. Now the smaller rectangle piece, do double crochet (dc) on 3 of it's side. I did 2 rows of dc. This dc is the sides of the bag. Do a bag strap by doing sc on the back loop on every

Rafia Yarn Fedora Hat

This Fedora Hat is made with 2 different color rafia yarn. I used a 3.5 mm hook.  The tutorial video :  Hat Pattern 1) Chain 8. 3rd chain from hook do a single crochet (sc). Do sc in the next 4. On the last stitch do 3 sc. Then do sc in the next 5. 5 sc in the last stitch.     [total 18 stitches] 2) Sc in the next 6 stitches, 3 sc in the turning stitch, sc next 6, do inc next 5 (2 sc in the same stitch is an inc)     [total 25 stitches] 3) Sc next 7, 3 sc in the turning stitch, sc next 7, (inc, sc) - 5X     [total 32 stitches] 4) Sc next 7, inc next 3, sc next 8, (inc, sc next 2) - 4X, inc, sc     [total 40 stitches] 5) Sc next 7, (inc, sc) - 3X, sc next 9, (inc, sc next 3) - 4X, inc, sc     [total 48 stitches] 6) - 7) Sc all around     [total 48 stitches] 8) (inc, sc next 7) - 6X     [total 54 stitches] 9) Sc all around     [total 54 stitches] 10) Sc next 4, (inc, sc next 8) - 5X, inc, sc next 4     [total 60 stitches] 11) Sc all around     [total 60 stitches] 12) (Inc, sc next 9) -
