Mini Sunflower Leaf

 These are some mini sunflower leaf. I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. The tutorial video :  The Bigger Mini Sunflower Leaf 1) Chain 8, start from the 2nd stitch from the hook, do a single crochet, half double crochet in the next, double crochet in the next 2, half double crochet in the next, single crochet in the next and at the tip do a single crochet, chain 1 and single crochet all in the same stitch.  2) Do single crochet in the next 2 and chain 2, repeat until the tip, do single crochet, chain 1 and single crochet all in the same stitch. Then again single crochet in the next 2 and chain 2. Repeat until the end of the leaf. Cut yarn and hide the tail or leave a long tail for sewing. Mini Sunflower Vine

 This post is about the mini sunflower. As for the leaf, refer to my other post. There are 3 type of mini sunflower pattern. These are made using cotton yarn.  The tutorial video :  Bigger Mini Sunflower Pattern 1) Use brown color for the core. Make a magic circle / ring. Do 8 single crochet (sc) into the ring    [total 8] 2) Chain 1, turn the work, do single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc) and again sc into the same stitch.     [total 8 sets] Cut yarn, set aside and hide the tail. Two Colors Sunflower Bag

 This is a simple sunflower bag with zip and linen inside the bag. The bag is made using 8 ply cotton yarn and a 4 mm hook, while the sunflower is made with 5 ply cotton yarn. The sunflower pattern is in the earlier post.  The tutorial video :  The bag pattern is very simple. Start with a foundation chain with the length of your choice. The 2nd row, do half double crochet starting from the 2nd stitch from the hook. At the end of the row, chain 1, turn the work and do half double crochet until the end of the row. Do this for few rows until you come to the size that you want. It will be a rectangle base.  Once you reach the desire size, do single crochet all around the rectangle shape. Continue to work in a round until you come to the length that you want. Refer to the tutorial video for better understanding. Gigantic Sunflower

 I made this sunflower for a bag, to sew it on the front of a bag. So there will be no green part of the flower. Only the core and the petals. The tutorial video :  The Core Of The Flower (the middle part) 1) Chain (ch) 4, join into a circle with a slip stitch (sl st) 2) Ch 2, make 11 double crochet (dc) into the circle 3) Ch 1, turn (work on the back) on the same stitch, make 1 single crochet (sc), 1 triple crochet (tc), 1 sc this is one set, repeat another 12 sets, end with a sl st to the ch 1. 4) Ch1, (sc,tc,sc), sc on the next stitch, skip the bump - repeat all around 5) Ch1, (sc,tc,sc), sc in next 2, skip the bump - repeat all around 6) Ch1, (sc,tc,sc), sc in next 3, skip the bump - repeat all around 7) Ch 3, turn (work on the front) skip the bump, ch 3 and sl st on front loop all around except for bump area 8) Now do sc all around on the remaining back loop The small petal (will have 20 petals) 1) Use only the front loop, yarn over one of the stitch and chain 10, add a maker on t

Sunflower Leaf

 This is a simple sunflower leaf pattern in 3 sizes. I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. The tutorial video :  Big Leaf Pattern 1) Chain 16, start from the 2nd stitch from the hook, do single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc) in the next, double crochet (dc) in the next 7, hdc in the next 3, sc in the next 2, (sc, chain 1 and sc again) all in the same stitch. Add a marker on the chain 1. Sc next 2, hdc next 3, dc next 7, hdc, sc next 2. Add a marker. 2) (Sc, hdc) in the same stitch, dc increase (inc) next 3, dc next 1, dc inc next 1, dc next 3, hdc next 3, sc next 2 (sc, ch 1, sc) - in marker stitch. Sc next 2, hdc next 3, dc next 3, dc inc next 1, dc next 1, dc inc next 3, (hdc, sc) - in the same stitch.  3) (Sc next 2, chain 2, sc next 2) - repeat all around the edge of the leaf. Ribbon Bow

 This is a simple ribbon bow crochet pattern. You can make one in less than an hour. I used cotton yarn. You can use just about any type of yarn but your hook size have to follow your type of yarn. The tutorial video :   Big Ribbon Bow Pattern (multiple of 6 stitches) - The Top Part 1) Chain 78, joint the chain in a round / circle with a slip stich to the 1st stitch. 2) Chain 5, skip 5, slip stitch in the next stitch, which is the 6th stitch. Repeat until the end of the row. 3) At the end of the row, slip stitch to the 1st stitch. Sponge Bob Square Bag

 This is a tapestry bag. A simple square bag make using cotton yarn. In order to make the Sponge Bob look realistic,  I follow the color of a poster I found online. I can't remember the name of the blue or the yellow etc. Just use my eyes to see which blue matches the blue in the character.  The tutorial video :  The poster that I got from the internet look like this :  Abbreviation : G = green   W = white   R = red   M = Maroon   Bk = black   B = blue   P = pink   Y = yellow The blue that use on the side and the back panel is of a different blue from the above.  I start with a row of the other blue (a lighter blue). This blue row is a chain of 49. The whole bag is just single crochet. The 2nd row onwards is the Sponge Bob color, as in when to change to which color. The pattern below, my 1) is actually the 2nd row and the color I mention is from right to left, like how we crochet. The number of stitches in each row is 47, that is, I will not mention the blue stitch on every start a
