Auntie Nat's Crochet (Free Crochet Pattern)

 This pair of cats are made using cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. You will need some stuffing and a safety nose. If you do not have any, you can sew the nose with some yarn. It stands at 11 inches tall and about 4 inches wide.  This is a simple neck warmer with just half double crochet stitch. I made one with cotton yarn and another one with velvet yarn. The velvet yarn neck warmer is smaller because the width is shorter and so is the length. You can measure it on your neck to see if it fit and how tight you prefer.  The tutorial video :  There won't be any written pattern in this post as the measurement is up to you.   This is a top with Tunisian stitch at the bottom part and shell / fan stitch on the top part. I used 3 different color yarn to come to this pattern. The Tunisian stitch part, I used purple on one row, multicolor yarn on the next and blue on the following row. I used a 4 mm hook with 5 ply cotton yarn for the whole top.  The tutorial video :   I start by making the Tunisian stitch in a round. The foundation chain has to be in a multiple of 11. Measure it against your body to see if it fit. You have to make 1 row of Tunisian stitch before you measure it on your body.  Each small box you will need 11 stitches as the foundation chain. Once you have decide how many boxes you need, use multiple of 11 and plus 1 stitch for your foundation chain.  Insert hook into the 2nd chain from hook, yarn over and pull a loop through leaving it on the hook and continue to do the same on the next 5 chain, in which all in, you will get 7 chain on your hook but we put through...

 This is my first attempt to crochet a tapestry top. Since my favourite is Minion, so I made one with it. I used a 4 mm hook and cotton yarn. For the Minion part, it has 4 colors, this part would be a bit think. The top part I used Suzette stitch.  The tutorial video :  First, make a foundation chain. The number of chain depend on your chest size and maybe your tummy size, if any. I am making it in a round like amigurumi. One set of Minions requires 38 stitches. One set of Minions has 3 different Minions. Or you can choose any other tapestry pattern that you like and check the number of stitches you need to make one pattern. Once I had the number of stitches, in my case was, 152 stitches which gives me 4 sets of the Minion pattern. I turn my work and make single crochet on the bump side till the last stitch before I joint it in a round. Refer to video for better understanding.  This is how the 1 set of Minions look like.  This special rabbit is about 23 cm tall in sitting position and about 23 cm wide. I used cotton yarn and safety eyes and also need stuffing. I didn't really weigh the stuffing but you will need quite a bit because this is a big rabbit. I used a 3.5 mm hook for this project. The written pattern is about the rabbit only.  Crochet plum blossom looks like cherry blossom. Even the actual flower, both look quite alike. I used lace yarn and a 1.5 mm hook. For tutorial sake, I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook.  This is a simple, smaller than palm size Chinese New Year deco. Just crochet a foundation chain with the length of your choice. Do single crochet on each row till it becomes a square. I did chain 11 and have 10 single crochet in each row. I did about 10 rows and it looks squarish. The use a needle and sew the Chinese word on it, freestyle.
