Wedding Bear

 These wedding bears are made using velvet yarn and a 4 mm hook. You can use cotton yarn too. It is a small bear. Slightly bigger than my palm.  Tutorial video :  Muzzle (use a lighter color) 1) Magic circle (mc), 6 single crochet (sc) into circle   [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each (inc), all around   [total 12] Slip stitch (sl st) into next st and leave a long tail for sewing. Head And Body (a different / darker color then muzzle) 1) Mc with 6sc into circle   [total 6] 2) Inc all around    [total 12] 3) ( Sc, inc) repeat all around   [total 18] 4) ( Sc next 2, inc) repeat all around   [total 24] 5) - 9) Sc all around   [total 24] 10) Sc next 2, do a 2together (dec)   [total 18] Add safety nose on muzzle and sew to bear face. Mini Hand Bouquet

 This is a tiny hand bouquet specially for an amigurumi. The flower is made using a thinner cotton yarn (3 ply yarn) and a 3 mm hook. The lace part, if you have some left over of some sort of ribbon or lace, you can use it.  The tutorial video :  Flower 1) Magic ring, 5 single crochet into ring. Don't cut or hide the tail from the magic ring. 2) Work only on the front loop, chain 3, then slip stitch down the chain 3 starting from the 2nd chain from hook. Joint to the next stitch with a slip stitch. Repeat in the same manner until the end of the row.  3) Work only on the back loop, chain 4, then single crochet down the chain 4 starting with the 2nd chain from hook and joint to the next stitch with a slip stitch and repeat the same till the end of the row. End with a slip stitch and cut.  The lace or ribbon part, cut about 6 inches long. Fold it half then fold it half again and use the tail from the magic ring and the tail from the last stitch, tie a knot and keep the lace in place.

Tiny Top Hat

 This Top Hat is tiny enough for my amigurumi. Preferable black in color but for tutorial video sake, I did a brown one too. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. It is very easy to make.  The tutorial video : Top Hat 1) Magic ring with 6 single crochet (sc) into ring [total 6] 2) 2 sc in each, all around [total 12] 3) (Sc in next 3, 2 sc in next stitch) repeat all around [total 15] 4) Sc all around (only on back loop) [total 15] 5) - 8) Sc all around [total 15] 9) 2 sc in each stitch, all around the front loop only [total 30] You can cut yarn now, either you leave a long tail for sewing or weave in the tail.  Hope you make lovely hats for your amigurumi. Mini Bowtie

 This is a mini bowtie made for my amigurumi using cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. Start by chain 6 or 5 depending how wide you want it to be. Then do single crochet for 3 to 4 rows depending how big you want it to be. Cut yarn and hide the tail and on a separate yarn, leave a bit of a tail before chain 3 then leave some tail for sewing and cut yarn. Heart Shape Basket

 This basket is made using t-shirt yarn and a 6.5mm hook. It is super easy to make. Simple and nice.  The tutorial video :  Basket 1) Chain (ch) 14, single crochet (sc) in the 2nd stitch from hook, then sc in the next 4, do a sc 3together (3 tog), sc in the next 4, 3 sc in the last stitch. 2) Sc next 5,  sc 3tog,  sc in next 5,  2 sc in the last stitch 3) 2 sc in the next stitch, sc in next 3,  sc 3tog,  sc in next 3, 2 sc in each of the next 3 stitches (the turning corner) 4) Sc next 6,  sc 3tog,  sc next 6, 2 sc in each of the next 2 stitches 5) (2 sc, sc) x 2, sc next 2,  sc 3tog,  sc next 2, (2sc, sc) x3 6) sc next 7,  sc 3tog,  sc next 7, (2sc, sc) x2 7) Slip stitch and turn work, ch 1, slip stitch all around, ch 1 and turn 8) Sc all around on the slip stitch part 9) Special sc (the hook go thru the bottom v shape instead) for a few more rows (to the height you want) 10) Last row, slip stitch all around and cut yarn.  For more details, refer to tutorial video. Cat Tote Bag

 This is a tote bag with two 3D cat sew on the front. Especially for cat lovers, this should be the tote bag for you. Then again, anyone who love tote bag, this is a lovely and quite easy to make, tote bag. I used cotton yarn and a 4 mm hook. I crochet with 2 strand of yarn o make the bag more firm.   The tutorial video :  You can make it smaller if you like. I start with chain 50 plus 1. Start from 2nd chain from hook do single crochet (sc) on the bump side, all around. At the end of the row, chain (ch) 1 and turn and do sc till the end. Do this for 6 rows. You can do more if you want. This is the base of the bag. If you want a wider base, do more rows but the top part is in another pattern and that pattern is in a multiple of 4. So when you add or reduce the number of stitches for the base and the bottom part, just make sure it is in a multiple of 4 too. Amigurumi Cats - Cool Yin And Yang Cats

 These cats do not have paws and can't really sit on their own. Can lean it against a book or the wall. I decided to sew them onto a tote bag, which will be in my next post. I still find it cute even though it is without paws. I used cotton yarn and 3 mm hook and safety nose. Groot

  I am sure many had attempt to make Groot. So happen I found some yarn that is quite woody like and gave it a try to see if it makes Groot look more like Groot. I used a 3mm hook and the yarn are made of several fine threads combined together. The one on the left was made with 5 ply cotton yarn, therefore appear slightly bigger.  The tutorial video :  Head And Body 1) Chain (ch) 7. Halloween Basket

 This basket is made using 2 strand of cotton yarn and a 4 mm hook. You can adjust how big you want it to be.  The tutorial video :  The round base 1) Magic ring, chain (ch) 2 and make 12 double crochet (dc) into ring and joint with a slip stitch (sl st) [total 12] 2) Ch 2, 2 dc in each (increase) and joint with a sl st [total 24] 3) Ch 2, (dc, dc inc) repeat till the end and joint with a sl st [total 36] 4) Ch 2 (dc next 2, dc inc) repeat till the end and joint with a sl st [total 48] 5) Ch 2 (dc next 2, dc inc) repeat till the end and joint with a sl st [total 60] If you want a bigger basket, do a few more rows of increase in the same manner. Halloween Pumpkin

 I used cotton yarn and a 2.5mm hook for this pumpkin. Some with safety eyes and some I sew the eyes and mouth. I didn't make the pumpkin stem but replace it with a witch hat since it is for Halloween. The free written pattern for the witch hat is in the previous post.  The tutorial video :   Pumpkin 1) Chain (ch) 17 2) Single crochet (sc) on the bump side, start from the 2nd chain from hook, all in 16 sc 3) Ch 1, turn work, sc on the back loop, all in 16 sc - repeat - all in 34 rows End of row 34, leave a long tail and sew the edge together. The bottom part, sew the front loop and pull it together and sew it seal. Add stuffing and seal the top the same way too. If you intend to add safety eyes, please fasten eyes before you seal the top. Spider Web

 I used a 2mm hook and a thinner yarn, like 3 ply yarn to make this spider web. Cotton yarn will do.  The tutorial video :  Spider Web 1) Chain (ch) 4, slip stitch (sl st) on the 1st chain. 2) Make 8 single crochet (sc) into the middle of the ring, join with a sl st. 3) Ch 2, then ch 1, do a double crochet (dc) to the next, (ch 1, dc) repeat all around [total 8 dc]. Joint to the ch 2 with a sl st. 4) Ch 3, then ch 5, skip 1, triple crochet (tc) to the next, (ch 5, skip, tc) repeat all around  5) Ch 5, then ch 9, ( wrap around the hook 4X before put thru 2 by 2, then ch 9) repeat all around 6) Ch 7, then ch 13, (wrap around the hook 6X before put thru 2 by2, then ch 13) repeat all around 7) Tie a knot, ch 5 then cut off yarn.  Do a ch 5 in each corner and cut yarn. Spider Web Doily

 Since Halloween is around the corner, lets make a Spider Web Doily. Add this to my Halloween collection. I used a white 3 ply yarn and a 2.5mm hook to make it small and fine to look more like a Spider Web. You can use any type of yarn and hook. The tutorial video :    Spider Web Doily 1) Magic ring, 12 single crochet (sc) into ring and end with a slip stitch (sl st). 2) Chain (ch) 3, then ch 1, double crochet (dc) to the next, (ch 1, dc to the next) - repeat till the end and you will get 12 dc, and end with a sl st. 3) Ch 5, skip the space, (dc on top of the dc in the previous row, ch 2) - repeat till the end and end with a sl st. 4) Ch 6, dc on top of the dc in the previous row, ch3, (dc, ch 3) - repeat till the end and end with a sl st. 5) Ch 7, dc on top of the dc in the previous row, ch 4, (dc, ch 4) - repeat till the end and end with a sl st. 6) Ch 4, dc on the same stitch, ch 4, dc on top of the dc of the previous row, ch 1, dc in the same space, ch 4, repeat in the same manner

Mooncake Bunny / Mid-Autumn Festival Bunny

 This is my mooncake bunny. Make using cotton yarn and a 3mm hook. You will need stuffing and safety eyes and nose. As for the ears, I did loop stitch but if you find it a hassle, you can crochet single crochet. The written pattern below are all in single crochet, including the ears. I just convert it to loop stitch but with the same pattern.
