Auntie Nat's Crochet (Free Crochet Pattern)

 This snail is about 30 cm long, the length of a long ruler. Stand about 28 cm tall. You would need quite a lot of stuffing. I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook.  Some say that silver pine cone bring luck. Lets crochet some glittering pine cone. I found a yarn that make pine cone look quite silver and has some thin colorful glittering thread around the yarn.  This is a simple crochet bag with nylon yarn and a 4 mm hook using Suzette Stitch. I start of with a chain of 45 + 2. The base of the bag are only single crochet. 1 single crochet in each stitch and do increase in the corner.  The 1st round, each corner do 4 single crochet in that 1 corner stitch, so in my case it will be 45 + 4 + 4. The 2nd round, do increase (2 single crochet in 1 stitch) in each of that 4 stitches at the corner (both corner). In my case, I will have 45 +8 + 8. You can stop here and work on the Suzette stitch or do 1 more row of increase, in which I did, to get a wider base. Can't do more than that as the corner will become too roundish.  Now to work our way upwards, do Suzette stitches. Do a chain 1, in the next stitch do a single crochet and a double crochet in the same stitch. Skip a stitch. In the next do a single crochet and a double crochet in the same stitch.  This flower is lovely and quite easy to crochet, even for beginners. It is wireless and the leaf and flower petal has almost the same crochet pattern.   The tutorial video :   For the smaller leaf, start with a chain 18. The bigger leaf, start with a chain 21. The smaller flower petal, start with a chain 12 and the bigger petal, with a chain 16. The middle yellow part, make a knot, slip stitch to the middle of the petal and chain 5 and slip stitch to the last chain (the chain that is nearest to the earlier slip stitch), cut yarn and pull the 2 tail to the back and tie a knot. For the leaf and the flower, start with 3 single crochet follow by half double crochet all the way till you have 3 stitches left at the end. Do single crochet in the next 2 and 4 single crochet in the last stitch. Now work upwards, do single crochet in the next 2, and half double crochet until you have 2 more stitches left in the end.  This is a simple floral pattern. I used cotton yarn and a 3.5 mm hook. The length is up to you but I started with a chain 300. I used about 7 rolls of 40 g per roll cotton yarn.  The tutorial video :   Shawl   Chain 300, or up to the length you want. Will be working on the length and build upwards and not the width. After chain 300, add 2 more chain and do a double crochet on the 3rd chain from hook. Double crochet in every stitch. Once at the end of the row, chain 2 and turn the work. Do one more row of double crochet. Make sure the number of stitches in both row are the same, in my case, 300. At the end of the row, chain 7, turn the work and do a treble crochet into the 1st stitch of the chain 7. Chain 3, skip 4, slip stitch in the 5th chain. Chain 3, skip 4, do a treble crochet in the 5th stitch. Chain 5 and do a treble crochet in the same stitch. Chain 3, skip 4 and slip stitch on the 5th chain.  To make this headband, you will need a plain metal headband and some green and red yarn for the holly leaf cherry and some other color yarn to cover the metal headband. I used cotton yarn and a 3 mm hook. You can use other hook size too, if you wish. First we start with a magic ring and make 5 single crochet into ring. Continue to make 5 single crochet in each row for as many rows until it can cover the metal headband.    The tutorial video :  The leaf , start with chain 13. Slip stitch on the 2nd chain from hook. Single crochet in the next 2, half double crochet in the next, double crochet in the next, 2 double crochet in the same next stitch, again 2 double crochet in the same next stitch, double crochet in the next, half double crochet in the next 2, single crochet in the next 2, slip stitch in the last stitch.  Now turn and work on the opposite site of the foundation chain.
